This album was compiled by Sounds music journalist Dave Henderson to accompany his “Wild Planet” series of articles promoting the industrial and new experimental music scenes. The art was done by Steven Stapleton. The Elephant Table Album was released in 1983 on X Tract Records (XX 001) and was re-issued on CD in 1989 also on X Tract Records (XX CD1) with new liner notes. The thing about the CD was: this is not a remastered version but a plain vinyl to CD copy. One can hear the pops and clicks from the Vinyl. The CD version has 4 tracks less than the original 2xLP. Not on the CD are:

Muslimgauze – Milena Jesenska (Extract)

So here you have the complete 2 record set. This is a fine sampler of industrial and experimental artists from 1983 in the UK. Some things I can ad are:

Bushido was the brainchild of Gary Levermore the founder of Third Mind Records. My friend at Phoenix Hairpins has posted the PUMP album “The Decoration Of The Duma Continues” witch are former members of MFH (great album). This was the first Attrition release on vinyl.
