And here’s the last album Bedtime For Bonzo made. Still no info to be found, so here are some facts and funny stories taken out of the comments.

Hi, for decades I have been radio dj in Belgium highlighting the national alternative scene. Bedtime for Bonzo was one of the most controversial bands. Their first EP “The Ultimate Refreshment” was released in private press. Only one print was made of it and only very few copies are still known to exist, or to have survived the past 20 years. Most copies were sold at local gigs. Afterwards they’ve got a deal on Scarface releasing their legendary “Have A nice Day” Lp. The very first print, but released in very very low quantity came with a sleeve with the same artwork but yellow coloured instead of the pink one. The band originated from Hasselt, Belgium is divided into “provincie’s” sort of districts. Hasselt is the capital of Limburg. Limburg also was the home for other famous postpunk bands such as Struggler, Siglo XX, to name but a few.

Beethoven said:

Arnold “Drol”, one of the hardcore groupies, produced a large quantity of a special item to be added to the “Last chicken in Paris”-record. It was a small hermetically sealed plastic bag containing a composted mixture of shit and kitchen waist. If you opened it, you could experience the real smell of fresh shit. There are 2 stories related to this stinking initiative : 1) a police intervention was made to intercept “shit” hidden in records. They were not pleased to find real shit in stead of drugs. 2) a radio DJ was commenting the sleeve “on-air” when he discovered the plastic bag. What follows are his words : “Ohh, look, a special gift! What may it be ? Let’s open it…. Boeauaa ! Shit, bwuerk, open the window !!! Aaaahhhhhhhhrrrrr…” At least he said “the lyrics are really strong”.
