Billy Synth And The Turn Ups – Disorderly Conduct

 Disorderly Conduct

This is the last post of the year, the fantastic “Disorderly Conduct” lp. Billy Synth started his musical adventure  in the 70′s when he bought his Arp Odyssey synthesizer. He first had a group called Blue Ice, and they recorded one 7″.  Then, when “new wave” came along, he liked it and left Blue Ice to form a more punk-like band, the Janitors.  That didn’t last long, really, even though they did release a few EPs…  After a year or so, he got back together with Blue Ice (with new drummer Joe Gear).  They had already “gone punk” themselves and changed their name to the Turn Ups, so it was all-cool again.  When they recorded there first LP, it was like Stevinyl-guitar, Billy-synth, etc., and that’s how I got the name. This is there second lp, punk with mad synthesizer input, excellent to head of in to the new year. The tracks on the lp are half own composition and half covers of obscure 60′s psychedelic and garage bands. Disorderly Conduct was released on vinyl by Tragik Records (TRLP 1) in 1983.
