C.W. Vrtacek And Dancing Lessons – Monkey On A Hard Roll

Monkey On A Hard Roll

Multi-instrumentalist C.W. Vrtacek aka Chuck Vrtacek aka Charles O’Meara surfaced on the independent American scene in the early 1980′s, he created a stir in underground distribution networks with his first two LP’s and a cassette parodying the Residents’ mannerism. In the mid 80′s he was in a band called Dancing Lessons, they had one album, “Monkey on a Hard Roll”, the band broke up just before recording a second album. In 1989 Dancing Lessons was reformed and changed there name into Forever Einstein. This album is quit different than his previous releases, as stated on the album that this is a group effort, nice instrumental alternative/prog rock with a strong punk vibe. Monkey On A Hard Roll was released on vinyl by Leisure Time Records (LT 3) in 1984.
