Delayer is a Project by Andy Eardley who was member of zoviet:france from 1990-1995. This release contains, in my opinion a good mixture of z:f related sounds and the – typical “home recording” atmosphere. Lot’s of backward sounds, ethnic voices and voice experiments, analogue synths. The last track “urban chant is a 36 minute long overtone chant. Note’s to the cd : Tracks 1 & 3: recorded for :zoviet*france:, previously unreleased; Track 2: recorded for :zoviet*france:, live version appeared on “The Three Of Swans” by Horizon 222; Tracks 4 & 5: live versions appeared as part of “Cyclonic Sub Alien” on “What Is Not True” by :zoviet*france:; Track 6: alternative version of “Daisy Gun” by :zoviet*france: which appeared on the “Ambient 4: Isolationism” compilation; Track 7: previously unreleased.
