Tim Sternat aka Factor E. Ofone was a DJ at KPFT in Houston from 1978 to 1981, after which he started playing music on his own. In 1987 he founded Esoterica Landscapes 7 with Jim Wilson and Bonnie McNairn, which lasted until 1991, Jim and Bonnie later founded Voice of Eye. In 1992 Tim started the group Pleasure Center and founded the label Awefull Records which released seven volumes of the Manifestation compilation CD series. Pleasure Center broke up in 1995, and Tim relocated to Seattle in 2003. This album was recorded, engineered, and produced by Esoterica Landscapes 7, Fall & Winter 1989. All material improvised…nothing is ever repeated. All cuts recorded live in Timeless Studio, except track 5 recorded 9/27/89 live at Commerce Street Artist’s Warehouse and track 1 recorded 10/29/89 live above Vallhalla on the steps of the Chemistry Building, Rice University; remastered from cassette at HCC studios, no overdubs, except track 4 multi-tracked at HCC. Excellent experimental ambient. Hokmah Nistarah was released on vinyl by Anomie Records (004) in 1990.
