FâLX cèrêbRi – Rite 64

Karsten Rodemann is the man behind FâLX cèrêbRi. FâLX cèrêbRi was formed in 1983 as an outlet for the experimental and industrial music created by Graf Haufen. The first two cassette releases (a three track 10 minute demo and a 60 minute full length album) were released on Graf Haufen tapes. The later was licensed to a dozen other labels worldwide and was re-released on CD-r by Korm Plastics in 1999 with additional bonus live cuts. The original project was laid to rest in 1985 after several conceptual recordings involving field recordings and microphone scans as it was felt to have reached the outer limits of acoustic experimentation possible at that time. The first recordings were more noisy, industrial and experimental, but early in 1985 the music changed towards dark ambient and ethereal sounds. Live performances in Berlin (Festival with Etant Donnes, Gerechtigkeitsliga, Club Moral and others), Bordeaux (Festival with Laibach, Esplendor Geometrico, Das Synthetische Mischgewebe and others) and Budapest (with DasSynthetische Mischgewebe) followed. Lots of compilation appearances allover the world contained some of the more sad, quiet, dark or ritualistic pieces. They were meant to be collected into a second release, but actually never were. Rite 64 was original released on cassette by GrafHaufen Tapes (GHT-31) in 1984. Other cassette releases are by Gut Level Music (GL2), Requiem Productions (REQ 021), Korm Plastics (kp 04), all released in 1984. In 1999 Korm Plastics (kp 4) released the cassette on cdr with one live bonus track. A big thanks to Bill Bigot for this cassette.
