Kraang is one of the many aliases of John Murphy. John Murphy is a Australian-born percussionist who has played with many artists since the early 1980s while living in both Australia and the UK. From being a member of groups such as The Associates and SPK, working extensively with artists like Death In June and Ollie Olson, and having many solo projects, his work has covered a wide range. For a while in the late 1990s/early 2000s, he went by the name of Jonh Murphy (to avoid confusion with another artist), but has since returned to his usual name. As this is one of the early John Murphy solo efforts, the music content can be described as industrial/Noise.  All material on this album was originally performed and recorded under the name Kraang Music between 1981 and 1983 in London. All tracks were previously released on various vinyl albums and compilation cassettes in the early 1980′s. Remastered in November / early December 1999 in Brisbane, Australia. Limited edition 750 copies. Uro: 1981-83 was released on vinyl by Tesco Organisation (TESCO 043) in 2000.
