Throbbing Gristle – Mission Is Terminated / Various – Nice Tracks

Excellent double album featuring two releases from Nice Label, Throbbing Gristle – Mission Is Terminated (003 EX 39LY 2) and Various – Nice Tracks (004 EX 39LY 2) both released in 1983, as part of the Red Ronnie’s Bazaar magazine. Red Ronnie’s Bazaar was a magazine edited by Red Ronnie aka Gabriele Ansaloni who was born in San Pietro in Casale, Italy, 15/12/1951, started his career in 1975 as a radio dj and now seems to be a famous television presenter. Could not find an English bio, hence the limited information. TG – Mission Is Terminated was recorded live in Sheffield in 1981. Various – Nice Tracks is a compilation album with a collage of Italian artist and samples from movies and interviews by Red Ronnie. This is very nicely done and gives the album a whole new listening experience as the styles from the band range from minimal synth, post punk, pop, experimental to avantgarde and piano music. And last but not least a big THANKS to Mr Curious Guy from Phoenix Hairpins for letting me take the scans of the booklet, as it is in album format. Thanks.
