Various – Die Orgasmus Bigband

Die Orgasmus Bigband

Die Orgasmus Bigband is a excellent compilation album featuring experimental / industrial / minimal synth and post punk bands from the mid 80′s. Most songs on the album revolve round one central theme namely: ” the orgasm”. Die Orgasmus Bigband was released on vinyl by Priapismus Records (PRIAPISMUS o.b.-001) in 1985, in a limited edition of 350 copies. The one I posted is the second edition also released by Priapismus Records (PRIAPISMUS o.b.-001) on vinyl in 1988, in a limited edition of 200 copies.

Various – Rising From The Red Sand Volume Five

Rising From The Red Sand Volume Five

This is the last in the RFTRSD series also know as Volume 5. On this edition again a wide spectrum of bands from Europe and America. It features fine artists like Smegma, Ptôse (also know as the French Residents), Radio Free Europe, Hula, DDAA, just to name a few. Two artist attracted my attention namely: krautrock legend Conrad Schnitzler and David Knight. The first needs no introduction , but for people who are unfamiliar with Conrad Schnitzler can have a look here. David Knight was a member of Five Or Six together with Ashley Wales who where active in the eighties. He also was and still is a member of Shock Headed Peters (as far as I now), and that’s where I now him from. My friend from Phoenix Hairpins posted the first 12″ I, Bloodbrother Be and The Kissing Of Gods 12″ here. Are Friends Electric has posted the Not Born Beautiful first lp here. So enough rambling and on to Volume 5. Rising From The Red Sand Volume Five was released on cassette by Statutory Tape (STATAP 009 E) in 198?
