Here’s another excellent release from Japanese avantgarde/post-punk band Sadie Sads. Three different versions of the Angora D. track. Angora D. was released on vinyl as a 12″ by Wechselbalg Syndicate (WT-1201) in 1985.

Sadie Sads is an avantgarde/gothic/post-punk band from Japan. Formed around 1982, Sadie Sads were influenced by post-punk music, industrial music and Neue Deutsche Welle. They are generally considered to be a part of the early Japanese gothic/deathrock/punk-scene (among such diverse acts as as Auto-Mod  and G-Schmitt). This is an excellent box set more avantgarde  than gothic, and the English / German singing of vocalist Sad makes it at moments very  surrealistic. Box With Little Doll was released on vinyl as a double 12″ by Wechselbalg Syndicate (WT-001, 002) in 1985. Released in a box with a photograph, large poster and large black envelope containing a slide, track-listing and credits. Side a, b, c: 45 rpm, side d: 33 ⅓ rpm, in a limited edition of 3000 copies.
